Last night, London time / GMT, designer Erdem Moralioglu of house of ERDEM presented the London 2015 Green Carpet Challenge (GCC) Collection in the midst of London Fashion Week. The designer and Livia Firth, creative director of Eco-Age teamed up to create Erdem's first eco-friendly collection in accordance with the "GCC Principles for Sustainable Excellence" guidelines, using "reused, surplus or sustainable certified materials." GCC is a dynamic platform by Eco-Age to raise the profile of sustainability, ethics and social welfare by pairing glamour and ethics. Among many other brands and designers which have previously taken the Green Carpet Challenge and being branded as GCC are Stella McCartney, Prada, Christopher Kane, and Net-a-Porter.
Mercedes-Benz, in celebration of their 20th Anniversary supporting fashion, joined in partnership with Eco-Age and Erdem for this eco-presentation. Wolfgang Schattling, director of Motorsport Marketing Communications And Branded Entertainment at Mercedes-Benz told the Huff Post collaborating with Eco-Age's Green Carpet Challenge and ERDEM in this milestone year felt like a perfect match as it coincided with their sustainable motto for their S/S16 'Hybrid by Nature' fashion campaign, featuring the all-new Plug-In Hybrid GLC 350 e, which can cover up to 34 km in zero-emission all-electric mode.
