The Shirt

When you are apartment hunting in the city of NY you have to be as comfortable as you can. The walking and the million of stairs, not really my cup of tea. Probably you think this pair of shoes are uncomfortable, but in fact is really the most comfty pair I own, ever more than flat sandals. I have been saving this shirt for months for the perfect hot occasion. Since it's so big and light you get the wind flow inside it, perfection! In this outfit the very urban and modern feel of "the shirt" and the shoes were counteracted by the retro sunglasses and the vintage-like bag creating a perfect balance. I don't really like uber modern or uber vintage-like outfits. I like creating balance!

Olympic Mood

LONDON CALLING! Since Friday basically all I've been doing is watching the Olympics, the opening, the preliminaries, the finals, replays on the internet, you name it! I think my brother has actually show me every single swimming competition. Go Phelps and Lochte! I think I'm dreaming about water tonight :) I am not really an athlete, sadly Ballet is not considered a sport, but I wont even start on that topic, it could take us a day...  But sports do really get me excited, especially if everything is happening in London (favorite city in the world!).

Go Team USA & Team PUERTO RICO!

Cheers then!

White Lace Coat

Just scored this amazing lace coat at Zara's S/S Sales. Lace + studded collar + amazing price, who can really resist? I know I can't. ;) At first I thought it was too light, and it wasn't going to be enough for F/W/S, however smart me decided to buy it a size bigger for lots of layering... spoiler alert; bright colored sweaters look amazing underneath!

Wednesday

Not your typical RETAIL

A couple of days ago my friend Taisa and I went to the Everlane store showing/opening on 65 Prince St. To my surprise this wasn't just your typical retail store, this one eliminates the retail markup, and thus the pieces are 1/3 the price of your typical retail one, but still with the same great quality. Their spirit is "Why should the perfect T-shit cost $50?" Everlane basically eliminates the middlemen in retail and boom, a great quality for a great price. Definitely a more suited way of retail for the 21st century.
PS. What do you think about my look?

Friday

that 4th of July

Last week for the 4th of July I decided to wear all white with my very traditional american bathing suit from Tommy. I had a great bbq day, but omg the heat was just intolerable. I was so happy that I was wearing a shirt with holes!
