Summer, I can feel you

                                                                                                                         Photos taken by Christine B.

No outfit screams at you more Summer than a complete white one. I love wearing all white because of its freshness and lightness. Ahh, you guys have no idea how happy it makes me feel to wear white denim and sheer shirts. That day was a little breezy though, so I decided to go with a pop of color by adding a jacket. What do you guys think about this addition?

PS. I have been changing my header like crazy, and I know it could be a little annoying, but bear with me guys, I'm looking for the perfect one ;)

Tuesday

late at night

Looking for inspiration and new ideas is something that I have been spending my nights on. I am a night person, so usually 2, 3 and 4 am are the most creative and productive hours of the entire day. Actually, I would say that I wrote most of my master's thesis on those hours. I kinda became a vampire, awake during the night and asleep during the day, especially because when I was writing it was already dark at 5pm. Anyways, this is one of my newest fashion-inspiring books, and it is fun and amazing. Every time I use it all I can think about is my next semester over at Parsons, I can't wait! Oh and of course a dose of Vogue on the side!

PS. Check out my nails! I really like this idea of mixing similar hues. I did green-ish and a pop of blue! Have you guys tried this?

seriously amazing...

LB Photos via Fashion Gone Rogue.

H&M Fall 2012 Collection, seriously amazing! Sequins, jewel embellishment, Balmain-like shoulders, over-sized sweaters, jeweled caps, snowy flowered leggings, and wow, a peplum belt, I want it all! This collection is like a Balmain-Dolce & Gabbana-Prabal Gurung well blended mix, don't you agree?  I know Summer is about to start but I can't wait to be in coats, long-sleved magic, boots and leggings all over again, specially if H&M keeps bringing these amazing garments season after season for such affordable prices. My favorite garments are the green-ish flowered sweater and leggings, but I have to say I am bias, I love green, especially dark green. What about you guys, finding H&M Fall 2012 irresistible as well?!

Denim (Oversized + Flowered)

                                                                                                                         Photos taken by Christine B.

So my friend Christine B. loves to take pictures and this explains why this post could potentially be the longest outfit post EVER... I couldn't decide which were the best photos, so here is a bunch, she is amazing!
This is an almost head-to-toes Zara look, incorporating a couple of my favorite trends for S/S; the flower printed pants, the denim shirt, the statement necklace, and sandals. I haven't had a denim shirt for a lonnggg time, so I decided that it was about time to get one. I'm so happy that I found the perfect fit to make it special, the oversized fit. I could really wear every single top oversized; I think is more stylish and it gives you enough fabric to add your own personality touch by styling it in different ways. I added a little something to pop up in color, the necklace. You all know that big and colorful statement necklaces are a big thing right now, and yes I'm obsess with them :) I wore this one in particular to add a pop of color to this color-muted outfit.

PS. My BANGS are BACK! So excited! Now that I'm going to be living in the city I decided to get a more urban look!

Park's Brightest

                                                                                                                     Photos taken by Christine B.

As I said in the last post, I can't get away from neon colors! So fun and vivid, brightness even for the rainy days. These photos were shot at Washington Square Park, one of my favorite places in the city. The perfect place to just to sit down enjoy the sun, the music, the dancers, the chess, the culture, the crazies, and even the ones that play with lightsabers (Star Wars). The perfect place to let your mind flow.

Pink ~ 620 nm

                                                                                                                      Photos taken by Christine B.

I can't get away from neon hues and bright colors, especially pink and green. These bright neon-pink pants are the definition of laid-back and casual. However, I decided to pair them with a more clean and simple sweater, high heels, and a statement necklace to dress-up the look to a more sophisticated city one. Just imagine this pants with a shirt and flats or sandals, a completely casual and laid-back look, definitely not what I was looking for. Do you guys prefer to dress-up casual garments or do you keep it low and laid-back?

Saturday

Flora

Flora: plant life occurring in a particular region or time.

As it warms up, all I want to wear are flowers, palm trees, neon hues, and of course color block. As walking through Cornell we found the perfect wall to shoot this outfit, a green wall! Can't wait to bring all my flowery and palmy prints to the concrete jungle! Read my previous post and you'll understand. ;)

LIFE-CHANGING

Crazy excited about being accepted to PARSONS THE NEW SCHOOL FOR DESIGN for the Fashion Design Program! I got the letter about two weeks ago and I still cannot believe it, surreal! With this letter are coming a lot of changes in my life, including moving to the city (NY), which of course I'm extremely happy about. I'm going back to the student life but I bet this time it will be very different. I'll be a scientist in a fashion design training, talk about crazy ha. But this is not only changing my life, it also changing Garment Traveling. Garment Traveling will have a change of name, ANJULI-AT-STYLE, in which I will show my life in the city, and my fashion design studies but different from anybody else, from a scientist perspective. Definitely a lot of DIYs for you guys! ANJULI-AT-STYLE is right now under construction, and it brings a big big surprise, something very different! I can't tell you about it for now, but soon! Whenever ANJULI-AT-STYLE is finished I let you guys know, so you can all do the transfer. Have a great weekend!

Tuesday

colors of the sea

Whenever I see a palette of colors containing blue, light blue, minty green and white all I can think of is the sea. Being raised in Puerto Rico made me take a little for granted being surround by the sea. Now that I am away from it, I see blue and all that pops out in my mind is the ocean. I can't wait to get home and smell the ocean!

This is another Spring comfy look! Currently I can't get away from baggy like sweaters, I feel like in my pajamas but warmer, such a nice feeling when your out of your house. This necklace is just the cherry on top, a white coral like necklace. As soon as I saw it at Asos, it remind me of the Chanel S/S Ready to Wear collection. I couldn't resist!
